Chester le Street Town U12’s made it back to back wins after a long layoff.

Both teams showed fantastic effort and determination in the warm sun this morning. The Washington Silver lads stuck first to take the lead, which was cancelled out by Dylan Bruce who grabbed the lads a deserved equaliser.

Into the second half, the Chester lads continued to play with confidence and a much improved passing style. However The Washington lads took the lead again against the run of play after our lads failed to clear after a close range free kick. With time running out, Chester Town turned on the pressure, Fenton Law had a decent shot from just outside area which cleared the cross bar by centimetres with the keeper stranded. Then top scorer Billy Hamilton found his shooting boots. Hamilton picked up the ball mid way into the Washington half, he danced around 3 defenders before firing low past the keeper. 2-2.

Washington then had  a player sent off. The Chester lads took full advantage, Billy Hamilton on hand to grab the winner and his second in the final minutes of the game to give the lads a hard fought 3-2 win. Well done boys!

Man of the Match: Billy Hamilton, match winner again for the lads.
