COMFORTABLE WIN FOR U8 WHITES

Chester le Street Town U8’s weren’t  really at the races for most of the first half and found themselves 1-0 down following a long range strike which James Carr had no chance of saving. A few minutes before half time though Chester Whites showed what they are capable of – pushing the opposition back with their high pressing and eventually scoring just before half time through Thomas Walton.

After the break the lads were back to their free flowing best and fired in 3 goals, comfortably winning the game 4-1. Nick Twinn crashed in a couple of long range strikes and Thomas Walton got his second of the game, thumping a cross in to the roof of the net from close range.

Another good team performance with Finley Benek and Will Jackson full of running as always. James Carr and Jacob Lisle did half each in goal and both looked comfortable between the sticks as well as showing their quality on the ball when on pitch.

With 1 game to go in the spring cup the lads sit comfortably in mid table following their recent promotion and are in a good position ahead of the transition to 7 a side in the summer.
