Chester le Street U6’s Martynas, Zac, Ryan, Harvey, Luca and Ethan represented the club with a superb attitude today as they have all season and finally had a bit fortune this week to see the game out with a 3 – 2 win. Players were rotated outfield and there was lots of huffing and puffing by the final whistle which showed how much effort they put into the match. We were much better at closing the opposition down so when chances came along we were in a position to capitalise on them. Zac, back from a chest infection, gave our team a bit extra quality and Harvey and Luca ran hard throughout. Martynas was in goal the first half, only beaten once and contributing with good passing and running at the back, later, Ethan took over in the second half making a superb save to keep the score 3-2 late in the game. Ryan gives us great options in attack with his willingness to run forward so overall the boys deserved the win and gave their parents a great game to watch in morning sunshine.
