Despite a good performance by the Lions, the result did not go their way in what was a free flowing attacking game which saw plenty of goals. Captain Alfie G worked hard and even volunteered to go in goal for the second half, showing great attitude and commitment to help his team. In what is becoming a common theme, Riley scored a great goal to bring the game back level after the Lions had gone a goal down early on.
Aston and Kade played well and were both able to quickly counter attack and score great individual goals, showcasing pace and technique. Kade would go on to win player of the week, for his performance today and at training.
Myles finished off the scoring for the Lions, using great reading of the game to win the ball from the opposition and turning defence into attack.
The Lions were unlucky today but a good performance with lots of positives. Well done everyone.
