Chester-le-Street Towns U12’s made the long trip to Teeside RTC this morning and came away with a hard fought 3-2 win.
The Chester lads started the game on the front foot and deservedly took the lead thanks to an effort from Finley Gamble who celebrated with his trademark somersault.
However  Chester-le-Street seemed to take their foot off the pedal and allowed their opponents back into the game, who duly took advantage and grabbed themselves a couple of goals to go into the half time break 2-1 up.
An end to end second half saw good chances for both sides, with both keepers making vital saves to keep their teams in the game.
However it was top goalscorer Billy Hamilton who made the difference with two well taken goals to give the lads a deserved win and keep our promotion hopes alive.

Man of the Match: Luke Beardow, great effort and energy throughout the game.
