Great few days for U9 Whites!

The U9 Whites have had a successful few days this week.

On Saturday, they came up against another team that were promoted with them and hoping to gain revenge from a tough 7-6 loss the last time the two team met.

Chester started really well and dominated the first 15 mins of the game but only managed to convert 1 effort from the several that we’re created with Kris Clark opening the scoring. After the goal, the opposition came back into the game but Chester held out until HT.

The 2nd half started slowly but Chester grew stronger as the half went on and scored a further 3 goals in the last 15 mins. The goals came from a Grayson Abbott brace and another from Kris Clark with MOM going to Harry Gibson.

With no game scheduled this Sat, the U9 Whites travelled to a local rival 2 divisions higher for a friendly on Tues night.

With awful conditions and a few players missing due to illness and availability, Chester approached the game full of confidence following their last 2 league results and used the game to try players in various different positions.

The boys played some of the best football since they started 7v7 and the effort the boys put in felt like it was a cup final rather than a friendly. Due to that, the match ended in a 7-1 win for the Whites!

Goals came from hat trick debutant Cameron Davies, Brooklyn Fearon, Kris Clark and a goal each for the Abbott brothers Grayson and Reuben. Reuben currently plays for our U7s but always trains with our team as well so deserved his cameo and appreciate him helping out the team for the night.
