GREAT PERFORMANCE FROM U9 BLUES

A new season, a new higher Division and the start, what can I say but a Chester le Street U9 Blues win.  The majority of possession in the game went to the Blues who had so many attempts at goal they are too many to list.  First with the goals, unfortunately the opposition scored 1st in the 20 minute as two missed tackles and really their only shot on target.  The second half however, was a different story, with the wind behind them it was only time till the goals came.  First, it was Louie Slevin-Bradley from a free kick with a thunderous strike, then Noah Jackson with what might be goal of the season and a half volley form the keepers kick out flying into the bottom right from 30 yards. Then a goal all about passing, Evan Dawson to Noah Jackson to Louie Slevin-Bradley goal….The final goal came from a free kick taken by Noah Jackson with Joshua Craig side footing a volley into the onion bag, that was then end of the goals.  More good displays came from Taylor Welch who was quick off his line to thwart attacks, Joseph Chapman-Ward been a real utility player going up front Right Wing and with one shot trying to take the crowd out 😊 (powerful strike), Toby Colllinson and Evan Dawson been strong and impenetrable in defence.  Now for the chances… Toby Collinson to Noah Jackson then Louie Slevin-Bradley just wide, Cohen Mickel to Lousie Slevin-Bradley just wide, Joshua Craig tackle which broke to Louie Slevin-Bradley just wide, Cohen Mickel to Joshua Craig just wide, Noah Jackson to Cohen Mickel header just too high, Joshua Craig with two good strikes back to back, a goal mouth scramble and Louie Slevin-bradley just missing it was unbelievable to see the commitment in the melee, Toby Collinson to Louie Slevin-bradley header just wide… there was more.

No Man of the Match Today, instead a team award.
