Great performance by U9 Blues

Chester Town Blues Under 9s come out on top 3-2 against a very strong opposition. The game started very fast but we got caught on the counter and went a goal down. Some great Play from Angus Smith and Henry Daglish found Toby Bell who smashed home the equaliser. With first choice Keeper George Bell injured in Midweek Leon Smith went between the sticks and didn’t disappoint with a couple of fine saves. Toby Bell scored a second to put us in front. The game settled down and both teams were passing well. Johnathan Buckton was like a rock at the back with Angus Smith. The opposition equalised just before half time after the ball took a wicked bounce in front of Leon. We started the second half well with Ev Smith and Max Sewel linking up great. Katy Garaway was keeping busy and Oli Snowdon was trying his best to break down their midfield. Hew Gowdy was flying into tackles but more importantly his concentration and focus kept us in the game at times. Toby Bell was now playing sweeper Keeper and it was only a matter of time before we got the winner. Angus Smith won the ball deep in our own half who played in Cole Robson who skipped past one then two and smashed the ball past the keeper. Great team performance. The less experienced players are really starting to shine #Development #teamplayers
