CATCHGATE TIGERS U-13’S  3-7  CHESTER LE STREET U-13’S

Chester le Street Town U-13’s continued their recent upturn in form to deservedly take all the points against Catchgate Tigers U-13’s on Saturday morning.

The Chester lads, with the help of a strong wind, started confidently, and took the game to Catchgate straight from the kick off. The opposition really struggled with the impressive Billy Hamilton, he bagged himself a first half hat-trick, one of which, saw him pick the ball up just inside his own half, dribble around half the Catchgate team and slot it perfectly past the keeper. A great individual goal.

Adam Gardner, who also played very well today, helped himself to a couple of first half goals, one being a cheeky back heel past the opposition keeper.

The lads went into the second half with a 6-2 lead, and really had to dig in deep as Catchgate, with the help of the windy conditions, improved and started to press the Chester lads high up the pitch. They deservedly reduced the Chester lead to 6-3.

However the Chester defence and the reliable Jacob Mills in goal stood up to the test to keep the opposition out. Dylan Bruce scoring late into the second half for Chester Town to seal a deserved victory.

A great team effort today, well done lads.

Final score, Catchgate Tigers U-13’s 3 Chester le Street U-13’s 7

MOM: Billy Hamilton
