Chester-le-Street Town U10 Hoops started slow today but showed some great defending from Harry Duncan and Charlie Nightingale who kept the opposition at bay. Alex Dodgeson opened the scoring striking a powerful ball into the net. Hoops let their guard down after a injury to one of their players and the opposition on the attack scored and found themselves back in the game. Hoops pushing forward found a second goal from Alex Hawthornewaite.
Second half saw  goals from Callum Brandford, Ronnie Craggs, Alex Dodgeson(2), Xander Parkinson. Wasn’t to be for Philippa Hunter who kept putting the pressure on pushing forward. Just minutes before final whistle Daniel Baines got injured in goal and in stepped Alex Hawthornwaite after a long battle the keeper was beaten twice. Final score 6-3 to the Hoops.
