MIXED FORTUNES FOR THE HOOPS

What a weekend it’s been for Chester le Street Town U10 Hoops and what games they’ve played with minimum players but unbelievable team spirit and hats off to them, Beaten in the first game by a very strong and physical team with the hoops only goal coming from Alex Dodgson, the hoops battled so well with Daniel Baines pulling off cracking saves Xander Parkinson showed out standing game play and looked back on form. Callum Brandford, Philippa Hunter, Alex Hawthornwaite, Ronnie Craggs tracking the pitch top to bottom whilst Jonothon Buckton and Charlie Nightingale stood strong at the back. Second game hoops saw them selves 3-1 down with a goal from Callum Brandford before half time, and Daniel Baines taking a knock to the knee but yet again hoops stood strong and came out fighting.  Ronnie Craggs made it  3/2 then Callum Brandford working hard to find a cross for Ronnie to score and make it 3-3. The support from both sides was phenomenal, Callum again working hard, Dodgy, Callum, Charlie, Philippa, Alex H, all had opportunities balls going wide/post and good saves. Opposition caught hoops off guard to make it 4-3. Another surge from hoops and plenty of graft from Callum spotted an opportunity and Ronnie on the rebound got his hat trick to make it 4-4. .Great work in defence by JB Charlie Alex D top bananas boys, Both teams deserve a high five.Mom Ronnie Craggs.
