Quality long range finishing in the first half from the home team was the difference between the two teams this morning.

Tyne & Wear Blues raced into a 4-0 first half lead with three of their goals coming from well outside the penalty area. Chester-le-Street U12’s  appearing to struggle to get their game going on a difficult pitch.

However a much improved second half, saw the Chester lads rally and produce a more determined effort. This was rewarded with three goals. An Andrew Watkins effort appeared to cross the line, Adam Gardner on hand to make sure. Andrew Watkins then added his second from the spot after a foul in the area on Jack Lockey and Finley Gamble finding space to slot home.

Unfortunely for the lads it wasn’t enough and the home team were able to add a couple more goals themselves, to give a final score of Tyne & Wear Blues 6 Chester le Street Town 3.

Man of the match: Andrew Watkins, worked tirelessly and two goals.
