FAQs

When are the sessions?

The sessions begin Saturday 3rd of March and are every Saturday from 11am til 12am

Where are the sessions?

They’re at Moor Park (Thats Chester le Street Town FC home ground). Postcode DH23EZ

Are your coaches qualified?

Yes every team has at least one FA Level 1 qualified coach. The Superstars are personally trained by our head Coach Davey Surrey who is UEFA level B qualified and a current Sunderland AFC acadamy coach. Your little superstars really will be in the very best possible hands to begin their football journey.

Is it for boys and girls?

Yes definately!

How come you provide free coaching when nobody else does?

Because we’re fully committed to making sure we can give the children of Chester le Street the very best  introduction to football possible. As such we’ve teamed up with the Village Montessori Nursery School and FC Education to provide the Superstars programme.

Do the kids enjoy it?

We certain hope so!!! Come and find out for yourself! We structured the programme with kids in mind, they’ll get a progression chart, stickers and earn rewards to attendance and great training.

What happens if my child is not any good at football?

They learn and they get better with the aim to be best possible footballer they can be.

Are the numbers limited

Yes we have a strict quota on numbers unfortunately and we work on a first come-first served basis. We will hold a reserve list should the programme be over-subscribed.

My son or daughter already does paid football training does it matter?

No not at all

Is there any restrictions on the 30 weeks free coaching?

The only restriction is the end date. Once your child finishes reception the superstars programme ends (and begins for the new reception year).

What happens after the 30 free weeks?

We hope the all the kids want to stay together and form mini-soccer teams here at Chester le Street Town FC. Chester le Street Town FC has over 20 youth teams already and have a very well established club structure and great ties to first teams. Alongside the training for the kids we’ll also put on a separate event for all the parents/guardians to introduce them to club, outline the club philosophies and explain important stuff like safguarding and your role as parents!

I heard you are building a new club house at Moor Park – will it affect the Superstars?

Yes thats right we are! At this moment we dont expect any major issues (maybe some parking issues during construction – we’ll see) but rest assured we’ll do our very best to make sure the kids can keep training!
