Chester-le-Street Town U10 Hoops knew today was going to be a tough game for both sides.
The opening goal came from Callum Brandford and it looks like he’s again found his fighting spirit. But the opposition didn’t give up and they made it hard work for the hoops. The Hoops struck again on when a great cross from Callum found Ronnie Craggs inside the box who scored. The opposition pulled a goal back which gave the hoops a wake up call. Harry Duncan along with Alex Dodgson were having great games in defence. Charlie Nightingale went close putting the ball wide from a halfway volley.

At half time  the Hoops made some changes that certainly didn’t disappoint. Matty Nolan and Charlie Nightingale moved into defence,Xander Parkinson applied the pressure even after taking on an injury, Philippa Hunter laying off great passes and Daniel Baines making great saves. Dodgy stepped up to take a corner and curled it into the net, today’s game very physical brought out the best in the players along with some injuries but what a game MoM went to Alex Dodgson

We would like to wish Alex Hawthornwaite a speedy recovery
