U10 Whites back to winning ways

After what has seemed like an age, the Whites were back in action today, with a big point to prove following a heavy defeat last time they played.
With players missing, the team rallied together to take the pitch, with optimism high. They started in great form, with some nice passing and moving around the pitch and a few chances being created. Following a nice Joshua Ruggles corner, an own goal was scored and the Whites were 1-0 up.
With a commanding Jayden Kelly – deputising in goal today – echoing instructions to the team, the Whites looked in superior form, however the tempo dropped and the opposition broke through to equalise and go into half time 1-1.
Following strong motivational words from the coaches, the Whites took the field and looked a different team, Dan Burlison and Alex White looked impenetrable at the back, Ben Cummings covered every blade or artificial grass, some lovley interplay between Joshua Ruggles, Josh Wright and Logan Newton saw a good goal crafted, which was finished nicely by Josh Wright.

More good play followed and some excellent all-round forward play by Charlie Gamble – it’ll be amazing if that kid can walk this afternoon after the shift he put in today – helped towards a second Josh Wright goal.
The whites held onto their 3-1 and very justified win – well done lads and more of the same please !!!!
