U11 Whites played their first game in six weeks, at home to Whiteleas Allstars and showed little signs of rust.
Chester went one nil up midway through the first half, through an excellent cross from Matt which the hardworking Jay tried to get on the end of, but the final touch came from a Whiteleas player. The first half was end to end stuff and both teams threatened the opposition’s goal, Whiteleas scored a well taken equaliser and that was how it remained until half time.
The second half Chester stepped up their game and again took the lead through another dangerous cross from Matt, which Aiden scrambled home. Chester created lots more decent chances with some good efforts from Kian, Matt, Aiden and Alfie, but with the game stretched Whiteleas were awarded a penalty and the Whiteleas player gave Callum no chance to save it smashing it into the top corner.
With the game at 2-2 and the clock ticking, the lads show great determination and put the Whiteleas goal under siege, despite a series of excellent corners from Matt, they couldn’t get the ball over the line.
It was an excellent game to watch played in the right spirit by both teams and there were plenty of encouraging signs of continued improvement from Chester u11 Whites. It was a really good all round team performance but the stand out performer was Matt who won Man of the Match.
