Chester le Street Town U13’s celebrated their first win of the season with a well deserved 5-2 win at home to Durham Tigers this morning.The lads controlled the first half with their usual effort and determination but added clinical play in the final third, to find three first half goals. Dylan Bruce got the opener with a well struck effort and Billy Hamilton added another two, to give the lads a 3-0 half time lead. Although Durham Tigers did miss the chance to narrow the margin with a couple of missed penalties in the first half.
The second half was a battle for Chester Town as they were without the luxury of using substitutes. Durham grew stronger and more confident and began to control possession. They found the goal twice with a couple of well taken long range efforts. Chester were hanging on now for the final whistle, but the lads caught Durham Tigers on the counter with a couple of late goals from Billy Hamilton to take his tally to four and give Chester that deserved first win.
