U7 Whites in 9 goal thriller

Chester Town U7 White’s played in a thrilling game this morning. Two late goals by the opposition killed off the game but at 3-4 down Chester Town put huge pressure on the opposition goal but just could not find the equaliser, sometimes it just won’t go in. Well done to Thomas Walton for opening the scoring with his first ever goal bagging him the MOM trophy and Finley Benek once again getting on the score sheet for the fourth game in a row. That’s 13 goals in 4 games, over half scored by Finley but most impressive is his work for the team. Jacob Lisle finished off our scoring today following his MOM from last Saturday so no wonder he had a huge smile as he left the pitch. Joel Mews-Reed was solid in goal in the first half producing a great save only for the ball to roll back to the centre forward who couldnt miss from 3ft out. Second half Joel moved to defence, again giving a solid platform for the team to play from. Most likely he tackled everyone on the pitch, referee included. Riley Weeks must have covered every blade of grass defending then attacking and was only denied a goal by a great save by the keeper. James Carr was outstanding in goal and despite being comfortable playing anywhere on the pitch he is making it hard for the coach not to pick him as goal keeper each week. Will Jackson probably had the longest play time on the pitch today and as ever is reliable in any position. His foot work gets better and better but didn’t help him avoid the biggest crunching tackle of the game but he just jumps up and gets on with the game. Great examples of football and character all round the team each week and referee was superb today helping create an exciting 32 minutes of football.

Final Score was 6-3 to the opposition
