Today saw Chester le Street Town U8 Blues hold onto a 3-2 victory making it 3 wins and 3 losses for the season at the halfway point.  The game started with the opposition holding the ball and Taylor Welch having to make an exceptional save.  The Blues started to come into the game with Evan Dawson linking with Cohen who scored to make it 1-0.  Lumley scored an equaliser after a loose pass from defence and the was slammed into the bottom right giving the keep no chance 1-1.  Louis Slevin-Bradley was brought on with instant impact, with a great goal saving tackle and then passing the ball to Cohen Mickle who scored his second goal.  Joshua Craig and Toby Collinson played solid roles in midfield passing, moving and stopping the opposition from dominating.  Noah Jackson drove up the right wing, when tackled received a throw in, when he took the throw in a defender handled the ball Penalty… Noah Jackson to take 3-1 bottom right. Now it was just a matter of hanging on, unfortunately another goal was score by Lumley after Chester tried to play out of defence like Man City 3-2.  With Minutes left Chester held on.  Man Of The Match to Cohen Mickle for 2 goals and a brilliant tackle in the dying seconds of the game that would have led to a goal.
