Chester-le-Street Town U8 Blues played in icy cold conditions this morning at Farringdon. The game kicked off and both teams held possession well then the opposition broke and scored the first goal. Soon after Toby Collinson passed an early ball through the middle and Noah Jackson was on the end to finish nicely making it 1-1. From that point the scoring was all from the opponents with a few silly mistakes gifting goals. During the rash of goals Taylor Welch charged off his line and made some good saves. Evan Dawson was moved to the back from the wing and made a number of strong tackles he is like a one man wrecking machine. Joseph Chapman Ward came on as a sub and made a quick impact driving at goal and nearly scoring things were looking up. Now it was time for the Louis Slevin-Bradley show scoring a quick hat trick and a dominant last 6 mins display. The first came from a shot from Joshua and Louis clean up then Toby intercepted the ball and a quick pass bang! Goal 2 and finally, a powerful driven shot from the left saw the net bulge 5-4 to the opposition. Unfortunately, that was the end of the scoring however Chester had another few chances but failed to convert. Louis was handed MOTM for a quick hat trick that brought Chester back into the game.
