Chester U8 Blues have recently been on a hot winning streak amassing 6 straight wins but unfortunately the great run ended on Saturday with a underwhelming 3 – 3 draw.

With a full squad to select from the win was on the cards after a fast start and 3 early shots from Joshua Craig in the first 3 minutes. However, after the early flurry the opposition started to dominate play and finished a nice move with a shot into the bottom left with 10 mins on the clock. Then shortly after from a throw in near the corner flag and a lack of marking lead to the next goal 0 – 2. Just before half time with a nice move down the left Louie Slevin Bradley toe poked the ball in the far-right corner 1 – 2. The second half started with a number of changes from the bench and some individual skills from different players. This all lead to a corner and with Toby Collinson pushing up from the back he found himself on the end of a Louie corner  2 – 2. Now with the momentum Chester Blues tried to push on for the win but like a fine England team left themselves exposed at the back and the opposition scored with a real blockbuster. Fortunately, the boys had the courage to continue to attack and from a nice piece of skill Louie passed the ball to Noah Jackson who equalised making it 3 – 3. With no clear Man of the Match the manager gave a Team MOTM. The result was a good draw in the end. Now is a waiting game with many teams still having matches to play, will they end up in one of the top places in the league…
