Saturday 19th May witnessed the last game of the season with a victory giving Chester le Street Town U8 Blues a mid table finish or better depending on results.  The game started well for the opposition with an early save from Taylor Welch form a good shot, then in retaliation Joseph Chapman-Ward played in Joshua Craig who narrowly missed wide.  Unfortunately, it as the opposition who struck first from a free kick that was placed over the wall into the top corner.  A second was scored shortly after with a cross that was slotted home from close range 0 – 2.  After the first two goals both Evan Dawson and Toby Collinson had great games in defence stopping all attempts from the opponents.  Then comeback was now on and the Blues started to link up and pass with greater accuracy.  Noah Jackson was fouled and nearly scored from the ensuing freekick, then Evan Dawson charged through the opposition and just missed.  Then from a corner Louie Slevin-Bradley scored from an unbelievable angle. Louie Slevin-Bradley then scored a second from a Joshua Craig throw in 2 – 2.  Next Cohen Mickel made the keeper pull off a good save, Joseph Chapman-Ward caused the defence trouble but failed to score.  Finally, Louie Slevin-Bradley fired in a corner which Cohen Mickle converted 3 – 2 game over and a final win for the blues closing out the season.

The new season starts 16th of June, venue still to be released but will either be Newbottle or Castle View.
