Chester Town U8 Blues extended their winning streak to 5 games with a 6 – 2 win on Saturday. The game was a mixed bag of football with the opposition playing with a very unorthodox approach. With only 3 minutes of the game gone Louie Slevin-Bradley was fouled and with the preceeding free kick slotted the between the wall and into the goal… one nil. Then minutes later he scored a second low into the bottom corner. It looked like it was going to be a comfortable win but the opposition struck back quickly with a good finish. For the next ten minutes the game was tight until a nice run from Louie saw Cohen Mickle pop up in the box and score from the cross. 3-1 at half time. The second half saw Taylor Welch save a good shot from a free kick then distribute the ball down the left wing starting an attack which unfortunately didn’t finish with a goal. Noah Jackson was brought back on with 9 min to go and quickly scored two beautiful goals from the right wing. Joshua, Joseph, Evan and Toby all had solid games in the middle of the park and in defence keeping the opposition at bay. Late on in the game Louie score a third for his hat trick making it a good day at the office. With Wes missing the game the water fight was postponed but we will get him… Man of the Match went to Taylor Welch, selected by his team.
