Chester-le-Street Town Under 8 Lions got back to winning ways yesterday with a comfortable 4-0 win. After only 4 minutes Chester took the lead thanks to a corner from McKenzie Wilkinson took a deflection of a defender and flew into the net. Needless to say McKenzie has claimed the goal. McKenzie’s second goal didn’t need a deflection. It was a brilliant strike which gave the keeper no chance.

The second half was much the same as the first with Chester desperately seeking a third and the opposition sensing that if they got a goal it was game on. Fortunately the Lions got their third when following a scramble in the box Oliver Loan was on hand to smash the ball home. James Oliver then got a fourth making the game safe.

Man of the match James Oliver
