After a 2 game loosing streak Chester le Street Town U9 Blues came good today with a resounding victory. The previous two games saw the lads playing as individuals with a lack of passing and teamwork, but after a tough training session the improvement was immeasurable. The match started with Decembers weather being wet, cold and windy but the lads played as if it was a summers day. The passing and teamwork was evident from the kick off as the ball zipped around the pitch. An early attack led to a throw in which Noah Jackson took a quick shot the keeper saved and Cohen Mickel pounced and scored. Next Evan Dawson pinched the ball and from range shot and unfortunately the ball didn’t dip enough and struck the bar, it would have been a brilliant finish. Joshua Craig played a lovely ball through to Noah Jackson who shot just wide. Noah Jackson broke free played a lovely early ball to Joseph Chapman Ward and goal 2-0. Louie Slevin Bradley’s turn to produce a sweet dribble and crossed to Noah Jackson bang. The defence was solid Toby Collinson, Evan Dawson and Taylor Welch with a clean sheet at half time let’s see what happens in the second half. The half started on the front foot again with Evan Dawson bursting out of defence and passing to Louie Slevin Bradley who’s left foot shot hit the post. The next goal was a lovely passing move with Cohen Mickel passing to Louie Slevin Bradley through to Joseph Chapman Ward and finished into the bottom right corner. The next goal came from a Noah Jackson dribble and a shot that the keeper saved only to see Joseph Chapman Ward poach another typical Gary Lineker goal. Finally, with a few changes Toby Collinson was on the right wing Evan Dawson up front and would you believe it his first touch was a goal.
Team Man of the Match for some brilliant performances all round.
