The U9 Whites continued their recent run of good form with a thrilling 3-3 draw.
Their opponents had won their previous 10 fixtures and were sitting 2nd top of the league going into the game.
In a close 1st half, which was end to end, Chester went into the break a goal down.
The 2nd half was a different story though.
Kris Clark’s awareness to a poor goal kick by the UK allowed him to beat the defender to the ball and he coolly dispatched the ball past the helpless GK.
Chester fell behind shortly after but restored parity straight away with great football resulting in Grayson Abbott finding the net.
Chester came close on numerous occasions to taking the lead for the first time in the game with the UK making several saves, Ben Tiffen going close and a screaming free kick from Grayson Abbott narrowly missing the top left corner.
Chester’s pressure eventually paid off with Grayson Abbott scoring his second of the day.
Chester fought hard and defended really well. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be when a corner was cleared well but a speculative long range effort took a wicked deflection and left Nathan Staines helpless.
Chester’s performances since promotion have been fantastic and proves that all the hard work that they apply in training pays off on match days.
