The highly anticipated U9 derby finally arrived this morning with both the U9 Blues and U9 Whites hoping for a victory.
In blustery conditions, the U9 Whites took the lead midway through the 1st half with an excellent header from Kris Clark. Shortly after, a Charlie High effort was well saved by Kieran Adamson but Grayson Abbott was on hand to tap in the rebound.
The score could have been worse for the Blues at HT if it hadn’t been for an excellent display by Kieran Adamson.
The 2nd half was a tighter affair with Brooklyn Fearon for increasing the lead for the Whites before Kieran Adamson grabbed a consolation for the Blues.
There could have been more goals for both teams with the Whites hitting the woodwork several times and Aidan Brittain going close from a couple of free kicks.
There were too many players to mention that could have received MOM for each side but Kieran Adamson was selected for the Blues and Angus Johnstone for the Whites.
